Terms of Use
Last updated June 6, 2026
These terms cover your use of the CrochetZen website and the CrochetZen iOS app. By using either one, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
CrochetZen provides crochet and knitting tools, including an AI camera that checks your work, a pattern maker, a row counter, a stash tracker, and a pattern reader, along with free guides and tools on this website. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Subscriptions, free trial, and billing
- CrochetZen offers a paid subscription at $59.99/year, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID through the App Store. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
- You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings, not through us. If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue charges or refunds ourselves.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone else's rights while using CrochetZen.
- Copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content beyond your own personal use.
- Try to reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or that you do not have the right to share.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos, projects, and notes you put into CrochetZen. To run the features you ask for, you give us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your work, and we handle your photos as described in our Privacy Policy.
Patterns and intellectual property
Crochet and knit patterns are the creative work of their designers. When CrochetZen helps you find, read, or organize a pattern, that pattern still belongs to its creator. Respect each designer's terms. Do not redistribute a pattern you bought or downloaded, and do not sell finished items made from a pattern unless the designer allows it. The CrochetZen name, logo, app design, and original written guides are ours and are protected by intellectual property law.
About the AI feedback
The AI camera is a helpful assistant, not a perfect judge. It flags likely dropped stitches, miscounts, and tension issues, and it is right most of the time, but it can miss things or raise a false alarm. Treat its feedback as a second pair of eyes, not as a guarantee. The final call on your work is always yours.
Disclaimers
CrochetZen is provided as is and as available. We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose. Guides and tool results, including yarn and gauge calculations, are for general help and may not suit every project.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CrochetZen is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for a project that did not turn out as you hoped. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You can stop using CrochetZen at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property and limitation of liability, continue to apply after you stop using the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CrochetZen operates, without regard to conflict of law rules. If a court finds any part unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
